1886 – Queen's Park Rangers Football Club founded after the merger of Christ Church Rangers (1882) and St. Jude's Institute (1884)
1892/93 – Green and white hoops introduced and the first trophy won (West London Observer Cup)
1895/96 – Entered the FA Cup for the first time
1899/00 – Club turned professional and joined the Southern League
1904/05 – Moved to the Park Royal ground. Neil Murphy is the Club's first-ever international player (Ireland)
1907/08 – Southern League champions. Evelyn Lintott is our first England International. Runners-up in the first-ever Charity Shield
1911/12 – Southern League champions. Charity Shield runners-up
1917/18 – Moved to Loftus Road
1920/21 – Joined The Football League
1926/27 – Club colours changed to blue and white hoops. Record goalscorer George Goddard signs
1931/32 – Moved to White City Stadium. Record home gate of 41,097 v Leeds United (FA Cup)
1932/33 – First experimental floodlight match
1933/34 – Moved back to Loftus Road
1938/39 – New 'Loft' terrace opened by Herbert Morrison. Ted Vizzard appointed Manager
1943/44 – Dave Mangnall replaces Vizzard as Manager
1946/47 – Division Three (South) runners-up
1947/48 – Division Three (South) champions – promoted to Division Two
1950/51 – Reg Allen transferred to Manchester United for £11,000 (then-record fee for a goalkeeper). Record appearance holder Tony Ingham signs from Leeds United
1951/52 – Relegated to Division Three (South)
1952/53 – Jack Taylor replaces Mangnall as Manager
1953/54 – Colours changed to plain white shirts
1958/59 – Members of Division Three after regionalised divisions scrapped
1959/60 – Alec Stock replaces Taylor as Manager
1960/61 – Club revert back to blue and white hoops. Record victory (9-2) v Tranmere Rovers
1961/62 – Most league goals in a season – 111
1962/63 – Moved back to White City Stadium
1963/64 – Moved back to Loftus Road
1964/65 – Jim Gregory elected Chairman of the Club
1966/67 – Division Three champions and winners of first League Cup Final to be played at Wembley Stadium
1967/68 – Division Two runners-up – promoted to Division One
1968/69 – Tommy Docherty arrives as Manager and leaves after a month. Relegated to Division Two with only 18 points (record low at the time)
1970/71 – Gordon Jago appointed Manager
1971/72 – Rodney Marsh capped by England
1972/73 – Division Two runners-up – promoted to Division One
1973/74 – Record home league attendance of 35,353 v Leeds United
1974/75 – Dave Sexton appointed Manager
1975/76 – Runners-up in Division One – qualified for UEFA Cup. Five players in England squad, including Gerry Francis as Captain
1978/79 – Relegated to Division Two
1980/81 – Terry Venables appointed Manager
1981/82 – Artificial pitch installed at Loftus Road (first in UK). Reached the FA Cup Final, losing to Tottenham Hotspur in a replay
1982/83 – Division Two champions – promoted to Division One
1983/84 – Guinness are the Club’s first-ever shirt sponsors. Fifth in Division One – qualified for UEFA Cup
1985/86 – Jim Smith appointed Manager. Runners-up in Milk (League) Cup at Wembley Stadium
1986/87 – Jim Gregory sells the Club to David Bulstrode. Merger with Fulham to form Fulham Park Rangers proposed and rejected
1988/89 – Death of Bulstrode. Richard Thompson becomes Chairman
1991/92 – Gerry Francis appointed Manager
1992/93 – Members of the Premier League in its inaugural season
1994/95 – Ray Wilkins appointed Player/Manager
1995 – Les Ferdinand joins Newcastle United for record fee of £6million. Relegated to Division One
1996/97 – Chris Wright buys the Club from Richard Thompson. Loftus Road PLC is formed
1998/99 – Gerry Francis re-appointed Manager
2000/01 – Relegated to Division Two (third tier)
2001 – Ian Holloway replaces Gerry Francis as Manager
2002/03 – Losing Division Two Play-Off finalists to Cardiff City at the Millennium Stadium
2003/04 – Runners-up in Division Two – promoted to the Championship
2007/08 – Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore buy the Club, later joined by Lakshmi Mittal
2009/10 – Neil Warnock appointed Manager
2010/11 – Promoted to the Premier League as Champions
2011/12 – Malaysian entrepreneur Tony Fernandes buys a majority stake in the Club, along with Kamarudin Bin Meranun and Ruben Emir Gnanalingam. Amit Bhatia resumes in his position as Vice-Chairman after originally standing down. Mark Hughes replaces Warnock as Manager as Rangers avoid relegation from the Premier League on the final day of the season.
2012/13 - Harry Redknapp replaces Mark Hughes as Manager in November with the R's bottom of the Premier League but QPR are unable to stay up as relegation back into the Football League is confirmed at the end of April.
