'We're on the right road,' says Julio ...

R’S NUMBER one Julio Cesar is adamant QPR are ‘on the right road’ and has highlighted Sunday’s clash against Reading as a key one as Mark Hughes’s men look to climb off the foot of the Barclays Premier League table.

Cesar’s brilliance at the Emirates Stadium last weekend in the end proved scant consolation for the travelling army of Hoops fans, as Arsenal grabbed a controversial late, late winner to heap more woe on the R’s.

However, the Brazilian custodian is confident the results will come, telling www.qpr.co.uk:  “We have to keep going on the same road.

“We have to keep believing in what we can do.

“The little things, like the penalty we should have had against Everton and the goal which Arsenal scored which was offside, are going against us.

“There are still lots of games to go though, a lot of points still to play for, and I think we’re on the right road.”

He added: “We’re in a difficult situation, but there’s no reason not to be positive.

“We have a good team, we made good signings in the summer and we have players with strong ambition to achieve but unfortunately we haven’t managed to win games yet. But the time to talk about this is at the end of the season.

“The place to talk is on the pitch; to win games, get points and move on up the table. When we win the first game, it will come together.”
