HUGHES NAMES 25-MAN SQUAD

Gaffer picks 25 players for first half of the season ...

R'S BOSS Mark Hughes has named his 25-man squad for the first half of the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League season.

Hughes - as expected - has named three goalkeepers in his squad, with summer additions Rob Green and Julio Cesar joined by Brian Murphy.

Eight positions are taken up by defenders, including summer signings Ryan Nelsen, Jose Bosingwa and Stephane Mbia, as well as Manchester United loanee Fabio da Silva.

Skipper Ji-Sung Park is amongst the midfielders in the squad, whilst Hughes has named three strikers, namely Andy Johnson, Bobby Zamora and Djibril Cisse.

Players born on or after January 1st 1991 are classed as under-21 players and are therefore eligible to feature throughout the season despite not being named in the official 25-man squad.

Goalkeepers: Green, Murphy, Cesar

Defenders: Hill, Traore, Fabio, Ferdinand, Onuoha, Nelsen, Bosingwa, Mbia

Midfielders: Diakite, Derry, Dyer, Faurlin, Hoilett, Ephraim, Wright-Phillips, Taarabt, Mackie, Park, Granero

Strikers: Johnson, Zamora, Cisse
