CHESTER-BORN Mike Jones will take charge of the R's home fixture against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon.
It will be Jones’ second outing in charge of Rangers this Premier League campaign.
Earlier this season Jones took charge of QPR's away defeat against Steve Clarke's West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.
Last term, Jones officiated the R’s twice; defeat against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light and victory against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
During our 3-1 defeat against the Black Cats, Jones sent off Djibril Cisse for a late second half challenge - his second dismissal of the campaign.
After years of dedication and progression, the 44 year-old was finally promoted to the Football League list of referees in 1997.
A decade later and Jones took charge of his first Wembley encounter, when he refereed the League Two Play-Off final between Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury Town.
His debut at the 'home of English football' was soon followed by refereeing the FA Trophy final between Stevenage Borough and York City.
In 2008, Jones joined the highly-respected Select Group of referees, allowing him to take charge in England's top-flight.
Jones was the fourth official at the 2012 FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Liverpool in May.
R West is joined by S Ledger for assistant duties on Saturday.
M Dean will be the afternoon’s fourth official.
