QPR LADIES captain Elly Maggs has capped promotion to the FA Women’s Premier League by being named Player of the Year by the supporters.

Maggs – who missed just one game as Rangers took the South East Combination League title – was recognised by the R’s fans, claiming 45 per cent of the online vote

Meanwhile, team-mate Stacey Sowden has been awarded Manager’s Player of the Year.

Sowden topped the scoring charts in her debut season for Rangers with 28 goals from 18 games, including both in the final day win at Luton Town which clinched the R’s return to the top flight at the first attempt.

It caps an incredible season for the Ladies, who lost just once in the league all campaign and celebrated a double QPR promotion at Loftus Road last month.
