Gaffer's assistant excited about Chelsea test ...
R'S ASSISTANT manager Mark Bowen admits the QPR squad are 'champing at the bit' ahead of the visit of Chelsea to Loftus Road this weekend.
After a two week international break, Saturday's West London derby in W12 represents Bowen and co. with the opportunity to register a first win of the Barclays Premier League season against their local rivals.
Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk, Bowen said: "We can't wait for the weekend.
"We're champing at the bit for this one.
"We've had a stuttering start with a whole host of new players coming in over the summer. We've had players coming in at different levels of fitness throughout pre-season, so it's going to take time.
"But we've had two weeks training since the last fixture against Manchester City and things have gone very well.
"We've had most of the squad available to us and we've managed to get a lot of good, hard work done."
