TOP OFFICIAL Lee Probert will take charge of the R’s opening Barclays Premier League clash of the season against Swansea City on Saturday.
Probert, who was also in charge of our home and away fixtures against the Swans last term, will be flanked by D Bryan and R Ganfield, with G Scott taking up fourth official duties.
Gloucestershire-born Probert began refereeing in 1986 throughout the local leagues in Bristol, and later in the Football Conference South.
He was promoted to the assistant referees' list of the Football League in 1998, later making the step up to the full referee list five years later.
Probert's first competitive match, after being promoted to the Football League list of referees, was the League Two clash between Northampton Town and Torquay United in August 2003.
In July 2007, the 39 year-old was included in the Select Group of referees for the 2007/08 season, after being trialled during the previous campaign.
Probert took charge of the 2010 FA Trophy Final between Barrow and Stevenage Borough at Wembley Stadium.
The top-flight referee was back again at Wembley the following year and was appointed as the fourth official for the 2011 FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Stoke City.
