QPR’S YOUTH Development Squad beat their Barnet counterparts 3-2 at Harlington on Saturday afternoon.
It’s three consecutive wins now for the R’s in the Professional Development League Two (South), after they beat Millwall (2-0) and Cardiff City (4-1) in the lead up to this fixture.
Rangers began the game brightly against Barnet but it was the visitors who took the lead from the penalty spot after Taylor Parmenter brought down his man in the area. Aaron Lennox managed to get a hand to the spot kick but was unable to keep it out.
QPR drew level before the break when Mo Sharif was the quickest to react after Troy Hewitt’s initial header from a Michael Doughty corner was saved.
The hosts went ahead after the break through Tom Hitchock before the Bees drew the game level once again.
But the R’s were not to be denied and secured all three points from the penalty spot after a handball in the area, which midfielder Frankie Sutherland slammed home.
