MARK HUGHES has revealed the reasons behind why he appointed Ji-Sung Park as the new QPR captain.
Park was unveiled as the new R's skipper on Saturday, prior to our opening day defeat to Swansea City at Loftus Road.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Hughes said: "Ji is a natural leader.
"He's an experienced Premier League player and a proven performer at this level.
"He has the respect of the dressing room and the rest of the lads will thrive off his leadership.
"He was one of the positives for us on Saturday. His energy was great and he kept going throughout the match.
"He was as disappointed as us all at the full-time whistle, but he put in a good shift on a personal level."
