LATE drama in south London saw QPR Under-18s suffer defeat at league leaders Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
Paul Furlong’s side – returning to Professional Development League action after their FA Youth Cup exploits in midweek – made several changes from their exit to Tottenham Hotspur.
Rangers found themselves two goals behind at the break, but responded well after the re-start. Samuel Kifwasima halved the deficit on the hour-mark before an own goal ten minutes later completed the comeback.
However, Charlton restored their lead emphatically late on. Three goals in the final nine minutes secured victory for the Addicks to stretch their lead at the summit.
QPR: Bowman, Springer-Downes, Genovesi, Akinola (Fox 75), Eales, Noel-McLoed, Bansal-McNulty (Francis 70), Mesias, Platt, Kifwasima, Ribeiro.
Sub (not used): White.
Goals: Kifwasima 62, Own Goal 71.
