R’S BOSS Harry Redknapp has lavished praise on Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar following his heroic display against West Ham United on Saturday.
Cesar was the busier of the two custodians throughout the 90 minutes at Upton Park, as Rangers survived a second half scare to claim a valuable share of the spoils against the Hammers.
The 33 year-old was in inspired form to keep out Marouane Chamakh’s close range header, before the same player was again denied when his towering header was expertly tipped away by the R’s number one.
Redknapp, who was happy to see his side register a point against the club where he began his playing career, told www.qpr.co.uk: “He’s a world class keeper.
“I’m lucky here, because I’ve got two top class keepers.
“Rob (Green) was fantastic for us at West Brom in the Cup and Cesar, again, on Saturday was brilliant.
“You look at his CV and it’s absolutely remarkable.
“He’s won absolutely everything there is to win in the game and he’s still relatively young for a keeper.
“He’s world class - a top, top goalkeeper."
