JUNIOR Hoilett insists he and his team-mates must forget about last weekend’s opening day defeat if they harbour any hopes of claiming victory at Norwich City on Saturday.
Rangers were left stunned after a 5-0 loss against Swansea City at Loftus Road.
And Hoilett says the only place to look is forward ahead of Saturday’s trip to
Carrow Road.
“Nobody wants to look back at that (Swansea) – the only place to look is forward and to the next game,” he told www.qpr.co.uk.
“It’s just the first game and we have to learn from our mistakes and make sure that doesn’t happen again. It’s better it happens now than later.
“I know that we’ve got a good squad here and I’m looking forward to Norwich.”
Hoilett added: “The fans were great on Saturday. It was a fantastic atmosphere at Loftus Road and it was good to make my debut there.
“The circumstances were unfortunate but I’m happy here at QPR.
“The fans deserve more than they got on Saturday. It would be great to get three points for them at the weekend.”
Norwich themselves suffered a 5-0 defeat on the opening day at Fulham, with Hoilett continuing: “It will be an interesting game, but we’re ready to get three points.
“Every Premier League game is a contest and we’ve got to go in with all guns firing and get the result we need.”
