RANGERS boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed that he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash at Burnley.
Redknapp will make a late call on fit-again striker Andy Johnson – who featured for QPR’s Under-21s in their midweek win against Brentford – while new signing Oguchi Onyewu is available for selection.
Long-term absentees Tom Carroll, Nedum Onuoha and Bobby Zamora remain sidelined.
Redknapp told www.qpr.co.uk
: “Tom Carroll is obviously out for a while. He injured his ankle playing for England Under-21s. It’s been a loss to us because he was playing great.
“But there’s nothing new injury-wise. We’ve got a strong squad and we’re looking okay.
“Oguchi has been training with us for a few weeks. He’s done well. He’s a fantastic lad with a great attitude.
“AJ (Andy Johnson) played in the week and he came through fine. He was a bit stiff yesterday and we’re not sure if he’ll be in the squad tomorrow – we’re going to see how he feels. But he’s nearly there. His knee feels fine, and that’s the main thing.
“It’ll be good to have him back. Charlie’s [Austin] played up there on his own. AJ was playing well before he got injured. [Javier] Chevanton has also done well and we’ve got a few forwards to choose from now, which is good.”
Top scorer Austin returns to Burnley for the first time since a summer move to Loftus Road – and Redknapp also said: “I hope he gets a good reception there – he deserves it.
“He did a good job there. But I’m sure he’ll get a good reception. They’re good fans at Burnley.
“Hopefully he goes back and scores!”
Redknapp added: “Burnley are going great. Sean Dyche has done a fantastic job there to get them to the top of the league, and they deserve to be there.
“They’ve been playing well. We’ve watched a lot of them and they’re a good side. They’re a well-balanced team with two lads from Bournemouth up front (Danny Ings and Sam Vokes).
“They’re both scoring goals – a little and large partnership – and they’re a real good pair.”
