VERSATILE midfielder Michael Doughty has joined St Johnstone on loan.
The 20 year-old, who impressed for the R's during our pre-season tour of Asia, has penned a loan deal until the end of the season at McDiarmid Park.
The Saints are, of course, managed by former Rangers midfielder Steve Lomas, who has guided the club to a comfortable mid-table position in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
Doughty could be in line to make his St Johnstone debut against Aberdeen tomorrow (Wednesday).
