Bothroyd impresses as Wednesday thump DJ's Ipswich ...
WE TAKE a closer look at the progress of those players currently out on loan from Loftus Road ...
Jay Bothroyd impressed as Sheffield Wednesday thumped fellow strugglers Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Returning to the side after missing the midweek defeat at Blackburn, Bothroyd shone on the flank, as the Owls ran out 3-0 victors against managerless Ipswich, for whom DJ Campbell played 83 minutes.
The win lifted Dave Jones’s side up to 22nd in the Championship, whilst the Tractor Boys remain rooted to the foot on the table.
Rob Hulse played the full 90 minutes as Charlton fought back from a goal down to gain a creditable share of the spoils at Wolves, whilst Angelo Balanta’s fine start to life back at MK Dons continued, as Karl Robinson’s men leapt into eighth spot in League One thanks to a 3-0 away win against Scunthorpe United.
Elsewhere in League One, Troy Hewitt entered the fray as a 65th minute substitute, as struggling Bury drew 1-1 with Walsall.
Meanwhile, it was a profitable weekend for former R’s trio Damien Delaney, Peter Ramage and Matt Connolly, who all scored for their respective clubs.
