- Sandro only R's loanee to feature in Premier League this weekend
- Emmanuel-Thomas makes MK Dons debut from the bench in 0-0 draw
- Furlong and Comley play full 90 minutes in League Two
SANDRO made his second start on loan at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The Brazilian midfielder was subbed at half-time against Newcastle United at St. James Park, as Tony Pulis' side succumbed to a 1-0 defeat, with Aleksandar Mitrovic scoring the only goal of the game in the 32nd minute.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, Leroy Fer was an unused substitute as Swansea City were held to a share of the spoils at home to Crystal Palace, whilst Steven Caulker failed to feature in Liverpool's matchday squad, as the Reds threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with relegation threatened Sunderland.
Meanwhile, in the Championship, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas entered the fray as a second half substitute in the MK Dons' goalless draw with Cardiff City.
'JET' came on for Nicky Maynard in the 68th minute at the Cardiff City Stadium, but failed to have an impact, as the game ended goalless and the Dons dropped to 21st place, two points clear of the relegation zone.
Ben Gladwin didn't make the Bristol City 18-man squad, as the Robins won a key battle at the bottom of the second tier, beating Charlton Athletic 1-0 at The Valley, to climb up to 20th.
In League One, Michael Doughty saw his proposed match against Gillingham postponed owing to a waterlogged pitch.
Down a division in League Two, Darnell Furlong played the full 90 minutes as Cambridge United put lowly Dagenham & Redbridge to the sword with a 1-0 win.
Luke Berry's late penalty sealed the win, as the U's climbed up to ninth in the table, just one point outside the play-off places.
Following his impressive performance in the FA Cup last weekend, Brandon Comley made his first League Two start for Carlisle United on Saturday.
Comley played the full 90 minutes, as Keith Curle's side jumped into the top half of the table with a vital 2-0 win over play-off chasing Accrington Stanley.
