- QPR Under-18s win 2-0 at 10-man Birmingham City on Saturday
- R’s winger Josh Bowler scores both goals in either half
- City have goalkeeper sent off after 14 minutes
PAUL Furlong's QPR Under-18s made it a successful Saturday all round with victory at Birmingham City.
Josh Bowler’s double in either half fired the visitors to maximum points on the road, making the most of their numerical advantage after City were reduced to 10 men after just 14 minutes.
City’s goalkeeper was shown red after handling Jardell Francis-Adeyinka’s effort way outside of his area.
Rangers soon made the hosts pay – taking the lead on the half-hour mark. Bowler cut in from the right before arrowing a low left-footed shot into the bottom corner.
And that advantage was doubled when Bowler repeated the feat midway through the second period. Driving in again from the right flank, the winger provided a carbon copy of his first with another neat finish inside the near post to seal victory 22 minutes from time.
