A thriving and sustainable new quarter for London ...
For as long as anyone can remember, Old Oak has been a place people go around: a large patch of unsightly and under-used land. We think it could be so much more.
In 2013 the Mayor and the local councils started consulting on plans for new transport connections, economic development, jobs and homes as well as a new stadium. Queens Park Rangers Football Club has assembled a world class design team to regenerate the area and re-locate to Old Oak.
The new QPR stadium will serve as a catalyst for regeneration at Old Oak, creating new jobs and homes in the area.
Modern stadiums are used for more than just football. The new QPR stadium will be used all year round for corporate and community events. There will be shops, bars and restaurants for all to enjoy. It is important to us that the new stadium has the sporting, educational and community facilities to allow our Community Trust to expand the excellent work it does in and around our home in West London too.
All this will be delivered by a club with deep roots in the community.
