As every football pundit will tell you, all great teams are built on a solid defence - Football Aid are giving you the opportunity to prove (or maybe even disprove!) this theory, with our remaining defensive positions closing for bidding in the next two weeks!

The final two weeks of bidding features the chance for all those defensive stalwarts out there to claim their place at the back. Starting on Monday 18th February, the 45 minute No 2 Right Back closes; Wednesday 20th February sees the 90 minute No 4 Centre Half close, and finally, Friday 22nd February sees the bidding for the 45 minute No 5 Centre Half draw to a close.

For those keen to play 90 minutess in defence, remember if you were to bid for the No 16 or No 15 positions in the week following you would have the opportunity to combine these with the No 2 or No 5 to make a 90 minute position.

Bidding positions will continue to close at regular intervals throughout the bidding period, with the last scheduled positions due to close on February 29th and selected positions being extended to the March 4th. Remember that selected Buy Now positions will remain available throughout the auction period.

Football Aid provides the experience of a professional footballer for the day: from arriving at the stadium, to pulling on the official kit, running through the tunnel onto the hallowed turf and finally to cap it all, actually playing for your Team alongside Club Legends like Alan MacDonald and Gary Waddock, who've both played in recent years.
