1450 No Samba Diakite this afternoon, the Mali international misses out through illness. SWP and Cisse return to the final starting XI of the season, as Rangers set up for a 4-4-2 formation.

1449 This afternoon's line-ups:

Manchester City: Hart, Zabaleta, Clichy, Kompany, Lescott, Barry, Yaya, Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Tevez.

Subs: Pantilimon, Richards, Kolarov, De Jong, Milner, Dzeko, Balotelli.

QPR: Kenny, Hill, Ferdinand, Onuoha, Taiwo, Derry, Barton, Mackie, Wright-Phillips, Zamora, Cisse.

Subs: Cerny, Gabbidon, Taarabt, Campbell, Bothroyd, Traore, Buzsaky.

1445 The two sides leave the pitch, as the atmosphere is starting to build...t-minus 15 minutes until kick-off!

1443 Jamie Mackie insists that QPR's poor away form must change for the better at some stage - with today being the perfect opportunity to put things right.

With just one game remaining, a single point against Manchester City this weekend will in all likelihood be enough to secure top-flight football for another season at Loftus Road.

After a dramatic 1-0 win over Stoke City at the weekend, the R's now head to the Etihad Stadium full of self-belief.

Victory over the Potters was confirmed in the final minute through second-half substitute Djibril Cisse's late winner, and Mackie said: "When you have somebody like Djibril on the bench, you really get that feeling he can nick a goal for you.

"I imagine it wasn't the greatest game to watch, but when he (Cisse) came on and scored, it just gave us a massive belief around the ground.

"It gives us a real chance now."

Victory for City would ensure Roberto Mancini's side clinch the Premier League title for the first time, but Mackie is only worried about what the R's do come Super Sunday.

"They've not been in that position for a long, long time," said Mackie.

"Not many of their players would have won the Premier League before.

"Pressure does really strange things to people.

"Everybody is expecting a big day for Man City. But for us, we're scrapping for our lives and a point would mean the world to us."

PRE-MATCH STAT: This is Rangers' first visit to play at the Etihad Stadium. We've only lost two out of our last seven league trips to play City at Maine Road.

PRE-MATCH STAT: Roberto Mancini's side have dropped just two points at home this season. Fortress.

1435 As QPR prepare for their biggest game in years, defender Anton Ferdinand said this week that the squad are focusing purely on what they need to do.

"City have got a lot riding on this match but so have we," Ferdinand told London Call-In - QPR's online phone-in show.

"This game determines whether people keep their jobs or not at our Club. We have got to do our best to make sure we stay in the Premier League, so that every single person at this Club keeps their job.

"It's about us. It's not about Manchester City. They are a fantastic team but so are we on our day."

1432 With today now being dubbed 'Survival Sunday', it's only fair that all of the top-flight teams are in action at the same time:

Chelsea v Blackburn Rovers

Everton v Newcastle United

Norwich City v Aston Villa

Stoke City v Bolton Wanderers

Sunderland v Manchester United

Swansea City v Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham

West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal

Wigan Athletic v Wolverhampton Wanderers

1431 With the maths lesson now out of the way, we can concentrate on the 90 minutes ahead. R's gaffer Mark Hughes confirmed yesterday that on loan midfielder Samba Diakite would miss today's encounter through illness, that has kept the Mali international out of the squad for a number of games. Hughes also mentioned that midfield Akos Buzsaky and Shaun Derry had struggled this week in training. Team news to follow...

1430 Good afternoon and welcome to the final 'as it happens' of the season, as Rangers take part in what is likely to be the most watched game of the day, and even of the season. The Premier League campaign finale is finally upon us, with the occasion of today adding to what has already been an exciting term.

It's simple, if the R's draw, or win, then top-flight football is secured for another season, and Bolton Wanderers will be condemned to the Championship, along with the already relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers.

If Manchester City win, then the blue half of the city will be crowned champions, BUT, and this is where it gets complicated, Rangers can still survive relegation, but will need Stoke City to either beat, or match Bolton's efforts at the Britannia Stadium.
