BRING ON THE BOROUGH

Posted on: Tue 31 Jul 2007

QPR travel to Harrow Borough tonight for their final friendly on the road before the season kicks off against Bristol City on 11th August.

Manager John Gregory named a strong side at Wycombe on Saturday afternoon - and even gave 90-minute run-outs to Michael Mancienne, Damion Stewart, Adam Bolder and Martin Rowlands - and he insists he plans to do likewise at Earlsmead this evening.

Danny Cullip and Chris Barker were noticeable by their absence at Adams Park. The pair were both unavailable with minor injuries, and it remains to be seen whether they are passed fit for the Harrow fixture.

Meanwhile, our opponents will be going into the game buoyed by an impressive 1-0 friendly win over Brentford earlier this month. Albert Adomah was on target for Borough.

The one to watch from our hosts tonight could be 25-year-old Elliott Onochie, who scored 17 goals in 29 games last season - not a bad return in a side that struggled at the wrong end of the Ryman's Premier.

Please note, due to limited resources at Earlsmead, a full report from the game may not be available until tomorrow morning.
