SHIRT TO REMEMBER

Posted on: Fri 31 Aug 2007

Saturday's match against Southampton at Loftus Road will prove to be an emotional occasion for QPR, as the Club remembers striker Ray Jones, who was killed last weekend in a motor accident.

To honour the memory of the talented teenager, his team-mates' playing shirts will carry his name on the back.

On the front of the shirts will read: Ray Jones, 1988 - 2007, R.I.P.

A large attendance is expected for the game as the fans come out in their numbers to show their respect for a player that many believed had what it took to go all the way to the very top.
