John Gregory has issued a rallying cry to his squad, after what he describes as 'one of the most traumatic fortnights in the history of this Football Club.'
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, the R's boss spoke of his desire to pick his players up after the untimely death of their team-mate, Ray Jones, who tragically died in a motor accident on Saturday 25th August.
"The events of the last couple of weeks have been traumatic for everyone concerned, culminating in the funeral last Thursday,'' said Gregory.
"It's been a unique situation for everyone at the Club - none more so than the players, who had to bury one of their team-mates on Thursday.
"It's impossible to grasp how much it has affected the players and I sympathise with them all, but it's time to move on.
"We've had a fortnight to mourn and grieve and now we have to focus on the job in hand. We need to get our season up and running and that starts at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday afternoon."
