DUO TO DEBUT?

Posted on: Wed 03 Oct 2007

Loan Rangers Rowan Vine and Jason Jarrett are in line to make their QPR debuts at Layer Road tonight (Wednesday).

The duo, who joined the R's on loan yesterday from Birmingham City and Preston North End respectively, trained with their new team-mates this morning and are both pushing for a place in the starting XI.

Danny Nardiello (hamstring) and Marc Nygaard (calf) are hoping to play some part against Colchester, but Sampsa Timoska is struggling to shake of a virus.

Mikele Leigertwood should return after serving a one-match suspension, but long-term absentees Simon Walton and Pat Kanyuka are out.

Colchester are sweating on the fitness of veteran striker Teddy Sheringham (hamstring) and goalkeeper Aidan Davison (groin).

Defender Bela Balogh is unlikely to be ready to make his U's bow following a hamstring injury, while Kevin Watson is still unavailable owing to an Achilles problem.
