'DESTINED FOR THE TOP'

Posted on: Sat 13 Oct 2007

'He's destined for the very top' - that's the view of R's skipper Adam Bolder on comeback kid Michael Mancienne.

The England Under-21 defender is set to resume full training on Monday morning following a back / hamstring injury and that's music to the ears of the QPR captain.

"We've struggled with injuries so far this season, but there's a few coming back and that can only help to improve our fortunes," Bolder told www.qpr.co.uk.

"Having Michael back fit and raring to go is a massive boost, because we've really missed him during the last few weeks.

"He's an exceptional defender and destined for the very top."

Bolder compared Mancienne's future to that of another England Under-21 star, Spurs midfielder and former Derby County team-mate Tom Huddlestone.

"I saw it with Tommy at Derby and I can see it again with Michael - he'll go on to play at the highest level, for Club and Country," said Bolder.

"He's different class and a great lad, who deserves all the success that will undoubtedly come his way."
