THUMBS UP FROM TREATMENT ROOM

Posted on: Fri 26 Oct 2007

R's Caretaker Manager Mick Harford is unlikely to make wholesale changes to his squad for Saturday's lunchtime kick-off against Charlton Athletic.

With the exception of long term absentees Dexter Blackstock (knee), Pat Kanyuka (thigh) and former Addicks ace Simon Walton (fractured fibula), Harford has a near fully-fit squad to choose from for the trip to The Valley.

Danny Nardiello (hamstring) and Sampsa Timoska (knee) are both pushing for recalls, while Jason Jarrett could return after being ruled out against Preston North End on Tuesday night under the terms of his three month loan spell from the Deepdale outfit.

Charlton will be minus the services of Svetoslav Todorov, after the striker was ruled out for the rest of the season on Thursday afternoon.

The Addicks striker, a free transfer from Portsmouth in the summer, ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and also sustained a small fracture within his knee during Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat against Plymouth Argyle at The Valley.

Lloyd Sam is free to return from a three match suspension, but the Addicks are struggling in the left back department, with Chris Powell, Ben Thatcher and Cory Gibbs all ruled out.
