SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Posted on: Fri 09 Nov 2007

Gianni Paladini has responded to Ian Holloway's latest comments about our new loan signing Scott Sinclair.

When asked about Sinclair's loan move to W12 earlier this week, the Plymouth Argyle boss - who took him on loan to Home Park last season and was keen to bring him back earlier this season - was quoted as saying: "I am not surprised and they (QPR) are paying him £20,000 a week."

However, in an exclusive interview with www.qpr.co.uk, the R's Chairman was keen to set the record straight regarding the saga.

"I am a big fan of Ian Holloway, as a man and a Manager, but I think sometimes he gets completely carried away.

"In this instance, he is a million miles away from the truth and it's very unprofessional to start spreading rumours like this which are completely false. It's absolute nonsense."

Paladini added: "I don't normally like to respond to speculation in the press, but this is just too much.

"The truth is that Scott is getting paid much less at QPR, than he would get if he was playing first team football at Chelsea.

"Scott is a very young lad and such false information only serves to put unnecessary pressure on someone who is still learning his trade."
