QPR will face Ipswich Town at Loftus Road in the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup, sponsored by e.on.
The draw was made this afternoon at Soho Square, and sees Steve Brown's men up against the 2005 winners.
Rangers have failed to get beyond the first hurdle of this competition for the past three years, but Brown is relishing the challenge.
"First and foremost I'm pleased it's a home draw," he told www.qpr.co.uk. "It's a great opportunity for the lads to play at Loftus Road."
Ipswich, who beat Southampton in the final two years ago, will provide a difficult test, as Brown acknowledged.
"We know that this is going to be a very hard game," he added. "Ipswich have had an excellent youth set-up for years, and that is something we want here.
"At senior level, everyone wants to reach the next stage of the FA Cup because of its history and tradition.
"This is the youngsters version of that competition, and we all want to progress."
Brown is also hopeful of getting some good support for his youngsters on the night from the loyal R's fans.
"It would be fantastic if we could get a decent crowd down to the game to get behind the boys, and hopefully they'll be able to see the Club's stars of the future.
"We're doing really well in the League and it would be great if we could carry that form into this Cup match."
The tie will take place on or before Saturday 15th December.
