DUO ON WORK EXPERIENCE

Posted on: Tue 11 Dec 2007

Youngsters Chris Arthur and Reece Crowther have temporarily joined Hayes & Yeading, and Wealdstone respectively for a period of work experience.

Arthur, 17, has been a regular for Steve Brown's Under-18s this season, and will still be available to feature in QPR's Reserve fixtures as part of the arrangement with the Blue Square South outfit over the Christmas period.

Meanwhile, the move gives goalkeeper Crowther, 19, the opportunity for much-needed match practice with Ryman Premier side Wealdstone.

Brown told www.qpr.co.uk: "It's a good opportunity for the pair of them. The youth set-up closes down over Christmas, so it is handy for them to continue training and playing matches.

"Chris has done really well for me this season, and this will give him a new challenge in the men's game. It is also great for Reece to get some match minutes under his belt.

"If I can get some more of the lads out on similar arrangements, then I will do because I believe it benefits everybody."
