LEDGE'S DOUBLE DELIGHT

Posted on: Thu 06 Mar 2008

Mikele Leigertwood is gunning for more goals, after his two-goal salvo helped put Stoke City firmly to the sword on Sunday lunchtime.

The midfielder put the R's in cruise control with a first half double against the Potters - and now he wants to add more goals to his game!

"I've worked really hard to force my way back into the team, and of course it was nice to find the back of the net twice," he told www.qpr.co.uk.

"The first one fell really sweetly for me and the second was all about arriving at the right time and thankfully I smashed it home.

"I should get more goals from midfield and it's something I am working on, day in, day out, at the training ground."

Leigertwood added: "The lads were magnificent. We proved yet again that on our day we are a match for anyone in this division.

"We just need to find a level of consistency now and then we'll start climbing the table."
