ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY
Rowan Vine will step up his comeback from a fractured leg later this week, following more positive X-Ray results.
The 25 year-old - who sustained the injury during a freak training ground incident in early April - visited Princess Grace Hospital in London for his two month assessment last night and was given the 'all-clear' to begin light training.
"The results showed that both fractures are healing really well, so much so that they've given him the go ahead to resume light running," Head Physiotherapist Paul Hunter told www.qpr.co.uk.
"He'll be in for daily double sessions on the trampette and combine that with the continued strength work he's been doing on his leg."
Vine will return to Hospital in a fortnight, at which stage the bottom two screws in his left leg will be removed, further assisting the healing process by allowing more compression through the fracture.
Hunter added: "Rowan has really kicked on in the last couple of weeks and we're delighted with the progress he is making.
"His attitude has been first class and we couldn't have wished for anything more at this stage of his recovery."
