QPR will travel to The County Ground, home of Swindon Town, in the first round of the Carling Cup.

Today's draw pitted Iain Dowie's men against their League One opponents, in a tie scheduled to be played on Tuesday 12th August - kick-off 7.45pm.

Maurice Malpas' side finished 13th in the third tier last season, with 61 points from their 46 League One fixtures.

The last time the two Clubs met was in May 2004, when Martin Rowlands bagged the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory for the R's.

Former Rangers defender Patrick Kanyuka could feature for Malpas' side, following his move to the County Ground last season.
