Fitz Hall has been named in the Football League's Team of the Week following his goalscoring exploits against Barnsley on Saturday.

The former Wigan defender scored two goals in as many minutes against the Tykes, as the R's came back from a goal down to register an opening day victory at Loftus Road.

Hall scrambled home his first goal in QPR colours in the 29th minute, before making it two just 60 seconds later with an exquisite volley from fully 15-yards.

Speaking after the 2-1 victory, Hall - who also saw his second half spot-kick saved by Luke Steele - told www.qpr.co.uk: "I don't score many, so it's nice to get off the mark on the opening day.

"I've never scored two in a game before and I doubt I'll ever get the chance to score another hat-trick."
