RAMAGE HAS NO REGRETS
Peter Ramage is 'none the wiser' when it comes to explaining the strange goings-on at his former Club Newcastle United.
Kevin Keegan's eight-month reign at the helm looked over on Tuesday afternoon, with claims he had either quit or been sacked.
But the Magpies insist Keegan, who did not take training on Wednesday or again this morning (Thursday), still remains in charge at St James' Park.
Ramage, who spurned the offer of a new contract with the Geordies to join Rangers on a free transfer over the summer, has tried to get some answers from his former team-mates, but they appear to be in the dark too with regards to Keegan's future in the North East.
"It's a strange one," he told www.qpr.co.uk.
"I have tried to speak to a few of the boys there, but they don't really know what's going on either. It seems that it is all being dealt with in-house, which is the way it should be.
"All the speculation isn't healthy for the Club but at least they are trying to work out their problems behind closed doors, as best they can."
Ramage joined Newcastle United at the tender age of 11 and whilst admitting he has no regrets about making the move to West London, he is still getting to grips with life away from St James' Park.
"Having been on the inside since the age of 11, it's really odd being on the outside now. It's taking some getting used to, that's for sure," he said.
"I spoke to a few of the lads after they played Arsenal on Saturday, and it was strange that they are no longer my team-mates.
"But even though it is obviously taking time getting used to being away from Newcastle, I couldn't be happier with the decision I made to come here.
"I have no regrets at all, and am more certain than ever that this was a good choice for me."
