QPR legend Stan Bowles believes the R's have a 'good chance' of promotion this season.

Speaking at a Sportsman's Dinner at Stevenage Borough Football Club on Monday night, the 59 year-old - who made 315 appearances for the R's, scoring 96 goals - said: "Rangers have got a good chance this season.

"I saw them on the opening day against Barnsley and after an indifferent 20 minutes or so, they played some lovely football and ground out the result.

"They've made a decent enough start and there's one or two coming back to fitness which is obviously a good thing.

"It's a tight division and anyone can beat anyone on their day, but I'd like to think the R's will be up there competing at the end of the season."
