Heidar Helguson believes Rangers can end Wolves' recent unbeaten run when the Molineux men come to town for Saturday's early evening kick-off.
Mick McCarthy's side are currently flying high at the summit of the second tier, but the Bolton Wanderers loanee is adamant the R's can really lay down a marker for the rest of the season against the current table-toppers.
"It's a great opportunity for us to test ourselves against the league leaders," he told www.qpr.co.uk.
"They won't fancy coming to Loftus Road, because it is notoriously a very difficult away trip.
"It's live on Sky too, so there's always that added edge."
Despite his positivity, Helguson is wary of the threat posed by Wanderers, and in particular, the front pairing of Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Chris Iwelumo.
"Wolves have really impressed so far this season, and in Ebanks-Blake and Iwelumo they have two forwards who are enjoying a rich vein of form in front of goal, so of course it will be tough.
"But I look at our squad and don't see any reason why we can halt them in their tracks.
"In my opinion, we have the potential to be as good as any other side in the top ten at the moment. The key will undoubtedly be our away form, but I saw enough of us against Palace to know that we'll break that duck soon."
