Kaspars Gorkss insists QPR need to treat every match as if it's a Cup Final - as the race for the play-off's heats up during the New Year.
Following successive draws in the Championship, Rangers currently lie three points adrift of the top-six. But with just 20 fixtures to play, the giant Latvian defender insists there can be no slip-ups between now and the end of the season.
"They're all important matches now," Gorkss told www.qpr.co.uk.
"Every fixture is tough in this division. As the table shows, teams are only separated by a handful of points, so there are no guarantees."
Rangers have lost just twice at home all season long, and Gorkss believes that form needs to continue should the R's realise their dream of securing a place in the coveted end of season play-off's.
"It's very important that we win our home fixtures," he said.
"We've been very impressive on our own patch this season and we need to continue in that vein.
"If we want to go up this year, we need to treat every match as if it's a Cup Final, and that starts against Coventry City on Saturday."
After a slow start to life in W12, Gorkss has been in outstanding form in recent weeks, but the player himself insists there is more to come.
"I'm more or less satisfied with how I'm playing at the moment," he said.
"Of course, there is always room for improvement, but I am feeling good and looking forward to the second half of the season."
