IRISH DUO CALLED UP

R's duo Damien Delaney and Liam Miller have been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for their forthcoming World Cup qualifier against Georgia.

The pair were due to be joined in the squad by Rangers skipper Martin Rowlands, but following his injury against Derby County on Saturday, he has been forced to withdraw.

The Group Eight clash kicks off at 7.45pm at Croke Park on Wednesday 11th February.

Eire currently occupy second position in the six-team table, trailing early pacesetters Italy by three points, with a game in hand.
