DELANEY EYES AWAY-DAY TRIUMPH
R's left back Damien Delaney insists Saturday's trip to Barnsley is a 'winnable' fixture for the R's.
Buoyed by Wednesday's impressive showing in the 0-0 draw at high-flying Cardiff City, the Ireland international and his Rangers team-mates head to Oakwell in good spirits.
"After the debacle of last weekend against Ipswich Town, we played very well against Cardiff in midweek," Delaney told www.qpr.co.uk.
"We all owed each other, as well as the fans, that performance and it was just a shame that we couldn't round off a solid performance with all three points, because I genuinely believe we deserved to win the game.
"We dominated for long periods and from my experience of having played there on a number of occasions throughout my career, you rarely see sides do to them what we did and silence the Ninian Park crowd."
Delaney added: "Saturday's trip to Oakwell is a winnable game and a game we'll be looking to return to West London with all three points from.
"There's some hugely important fixtures coming up and our away form is really good at the moment, so it will be great to kick-start a massive week with maximum points."
Delaney believes the absence of livewire winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce - owing to a one match suspension - is good news for the R's.
"There's no doubting Campbell-Ryce's quality and it's a huge plus for us that he's out," he told www.qpr.co.uk.
"Darren Moore is missing too, which is a boost. He's a big leader at the back for them and Jamal is their creative spark, so it should be better news for us than it is for them."
