The draw for the first round of the 2009/10 Carling Cup will take place at 10.00am on Tuesday 16th June.
The R's will enter the competition at the first round stage. Ties are due to be played in the week commencing Monday 10th August.
Rangers enjoyed a memorable run in the competition last season.
Goals from Angelo Balanta, Dexter Blackstock and Damien Delaney saw the R's secure a 3-2 victory against Swindon Town in round one, before an Emmanuel Ledesma inspired display put Carlisle United to the sword at Loftus Road in the second round.
But the headline grabbing story arrived in round three, as Damion Stewart's (pictured) second half header sent in-form Aston Villa crashing out of the competition at Villa Park, in front of 3,000 plus travelling R's fans.
The fourth round draw handed Rangers another plum tie, with a trip to Old Trafford - the home of European Champions, Manchester United.
Despite a brave and gutsy performance, Carlos Tevez's 76th minute spot-kick won it for the Red Devils, who then went on to lift the trophy with victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Final. Yet again, the R's supporters came out in vast numbers, with over 6,000 making the trip to the Theatre of Dreams.
