R's left back Damien Delaney has agreed a deal to join Championship rivals Ipswich Town.

The 27 year-old defender has penned a two year-deal at Portman Road, after the R's accepted an undisclosed fee for the Republic of Ireland international.

Delaney joined QPR from Hull City in January 2008 and went on to make 59 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.

The Club would like to place on the record its thanks to Damien for his contribution to the R's and wish him all the best for the future.
