Jim Magilton will oversee his first training session as the new QPR Manager when the R's First Team squad report back for pre-season training on Wednesday morning.
With the exception of Damion Stewart who is on CONCACAF Gold Cup duty with Jamaica, the entire squad will be put through their paces at Harlington - and the new R's gaffer can't wait to get started.
"There are butterflies in the stomach," Magilton told www.qpr.co.uk.
"I'm buzzing and so are the rest of the staff. It's the realisation that the summer is over and the new season is upon us."
Magilton is a firm believer in making a big first impression - and that applies for him, as well as the players.
"We need to set the tone from the very first session," he said.
"First impressions are massive for me and that applies for all of us. I want to make an impression on the boys and I'm sure they'll want to do the same to me.
"As players, you want to know where you fit into the Manager's thought process - where you are in the pecking order if you like. For that reason alone, all the lads will want to lay down a marker."
And if the R's players needed reminding of the hard work that a pre-season campaign brings, Magilton added: "It's time to get the sand out of their flip-flops and get to work."
