There was welcome relief for the QPR squad on Saturday morning, as they were met by overcast conditions in Slovenia.

After five days of red-hot weather - with temperatures rising as high as 35 degrees - the drop in warmth was noticeable from the moment the lads stirred from their beds for breakfast at 8.00am.

Shorts and t-shirts are still the order of the day at the Hotel Livada, but training was a lot less taxing, with few players complaining of breathing difficulties, as opposed to earlier in the week when the closeness of the heat really affected some of the squad.

A 90 minute mid-morning training session saw Messrs Magilton and Gorman work specifically with two groups of players, as the build up to Sunday's fixture against NK Karlovac continued apace.

Even a heavy rain shower failed to dampen the mood in the camp, with each and every player looking to impress the new gaffer, with another fixture on the horizon.

The squad will travel to Croatia at 5.00pm this evening, before staying overnight and preparing for the NK Karlovac match as if it were a regular away day in the Championship.

The players will go for a light walk on Sunday morning, before the usual pre-match preparations begin, ahead of our final fixture on tour.
