YOUNG R'S ON DUTY

Posted on: Tue 09 Feb 2010

QPR youngsters Raheem Sterling and Frankie Sutherland are on international duty tonight for England U16s and Republic of Ireland U17s respectively.

Sterling is likely to be involved as England take on Belgium at the Stade du Pairay in Dseraing, Belgium.

Sterling, 15, made his debut for the Under 16s in November when they faced Northern Ireland in the Victory Shield.

The QPR youth product made an immediate impact as a second-half substitute, setting up both goals in a 2-0 win for Kenny Swain's side.

Sterling followed that up with a starting berth against Scotland in the same month as the young Lions sealed their ninth consecutive Victory Shield title with a 2-1 triumph.

Meanwhile, Sutherland's Republic of Ireland host Hungary at Tolka Park, Dublin, where he will be watched by QPR's Youth Development Manager Steve Gallen.
