R's boss Mick Harford believes Tuesday's fixture against Watford is now a 'must-win' for his side.
Rangers succumbed to their fifth straight loss at Coventry City on Saturday, but the Hoops gaffer is in determined mood ahead of the visit of the Hornets to Loftus Road.
"It's a must-win game for us now," he told www.qpr.co.uk.
"At the moment, we're on a bit of a downer, but it's my job to get the players up for it.
"I can promise the QPR fans and everyone connected to the Club that on Tuesday evening the players will be ready to go to battle.
"I've got to pick the right team for this game.
"We've got two very, very important home matches now, which we need to amass as many points from as possible."
Harford believes the fans will play a key role in tomorrow's derby in W12, commenting: "The QPR fans have always been fantastic with me; they always get behind the team and are very vocal, especially at home.
"We'll need them more than ever on Tuesday - they'll play a crucial part."
