R's attacker Adel Taarabt has been named on the shortlist for the Coca Cola Championship Player of the Month award for March.

The Tottenham Hotspur loanee has been in quite stunning form since the arrival of Neil Warnock in W12, contributing goals and assists, as the R's continue to impress under the new boss.

The Moroccan scored from the spot against Plymouth at the start of the month, before making it two in as many matches with the R's equaliser at Bramall Lane - home of Sheffield United.

His fine month continued with sublime performances against Reading and Derby, before he played provider twice in the R's 2-2 draw at Preston North End on Saturday afternoon.

Taarabt's rivals for the award are West Bromwich Albion's Graeme Dorrans, Newcastle United front-man Peter Lovenkrands, and Reading midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The winner will be announced on Soccer AM on Saturday morning.
