Tommy Smith says the players are full of confidence as they prepare to take on Chelsea at Loftus Road in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking last night on London Call-In - the Club's Official Phone-In Show - he said: "The mood in the camp has been good this week, really good.
"Obviously we have had back-to-back wins at home and that has really helped. Everyone is just really looking forward to the game."
Smith scored the final goal in our 3-1 win against Wigan last weekend and last night he labelled it as the strike of his career.
"I was chuffed with the goal," he said of his 25-yarder. "Luckily enough I hit it really sweetly and as soon as I looked up I knew it was going in.
"It was a good time to get the two-goal cushion with about ten minutes of the game left.
"Scoring from distance isn't something I am known for but maybe now I will shoot more from outside the box.
"People have been telling me since that I should do it more so I might take that on board. It was certainly the cleanest strike I've ever scored, and probably the best I've got."
The feeling around the Harlington training ground was further lifted this week with the signings of Taye Taiwo from AC Milan on loan and Nedum Onouha, who completed a permanent switch from Manchester City.
"They are both great additions to the squad," Smith said. "They have got a wealth of experience.
"Taye has played abroad for some cracking clubs and Nedum has got a lot of experience here and is a great athlete. They both are.
"They have brought a lot of confidence into the squad because they are both positive guys."
And with our Cup tie against neighbours Chelsea just hours away, Smith admitted: "It is a big game for us, particularly as we know how much this one means to the fans.
"We beat them 1-0 in the league earlier in the season so they will be looking for revenge.
"I think Chelsea will be better prepared this time around and will know what the atmosphere is going to be like.
"Maybe that struck them because a lot of their players hadn't played at Loftus Road before and I think it took them by surprise."
London Call-In is available to QPR Player subscribers. It is broadcast LIVE every Thursday evening from 7pm - 8pm
