Chris Day is looking forward to Rangers' trip to Elland Road for more than one reason.

First there is the challenge of taking on a Leeds side in transition in front of a large and passionate Yorkshire crowd and then there is the chance to catch up with an old team mate.

Speaking to QPR World he said: "We're taking a few thousand fans up there and I can't wait. Although Leeds are floundering, they've got some experienced players at this level and it is never an easy place to go.

"There'll be some banter with Clarke - he'll get some stick from the lads and afterwards we'll have a chat. I'm sure the fans will give him a good reception, but we have a game to win and that is the most important thing of course."

After last week's win against league leaders Wigan confidence is high at Loftus Road and no more so than at the back.

Although the Latics had their chances, the Superhoops kept a clean sheet and the Rangers stopper is delighted with the form of those responsible for keeping the opposition at bay.

He said: "Georges is doing the job that Clarke did for us last year, attacking the ball in the air, and Dan's pace is unbelievable. It's great to play in front of the two of them."

Leeds are currently in 19th place having lost at Ipswich last weekend. Nevertheless their 4-2 win at Preston seven days earlier suggests that this is by means a team on the wain.

David Healy was on the scoresheet against his old club that afternoon and having scored for Preston against Rangers last month, Chris Day will be well aware of his capabilities when they lock horns for the second time in four weeks.

For the whole of this interview with Chris Day and the rest of Billy Rice's big match preview head to QPR World from 5pm.
