Matthew Rose will go for a scan on his injured hamstring today and could be out until the New Year.

The Rangers utility player was injured during the early stages of Rangers' horror first half at Leeds and could be out for up to six weeks.

The Rangers medical team will keep their fingers crossed that the damage is not too severe and if all goes well he could return in time for Christmas.

But whetever the outcome of the tests, Rose will miss a clutch of games for the Superhoops.

There are further problems in the left back position with the news that Gino Padula is struggling to be fit for the Cardiff game this weekend having irritated a groin strain he picked up a fortnight ago.

Meanwhile Arthur Gnohere is going for a scan on his injured knee this week and long-term absentees Martin Rowlands, Tony Thorpe, Richard Edghill and Nick Culkin continue to make progress.
