BARE BONES

Posted on: Sat 27 Nov 2004

With so many players absent, Rangers' coaching team will choose from a paper thin squad for the Cardiff game on Saturday.

The only likley debate ahead of the weekend revolves around the left wing berth with Lee Cook and Kevin McLeod competing for one place.

Elsewhere, Gino Padula appears to be winning his race to be fit which will solve one particular headache in the absence of Matthew Rose.

Rose will be out for the full six weeks with a hamstring tear and joins long-termers Arthur Gnohere, Tony Thorpe, Richard Edghill, Martin Rowlands and Nick Culkin.

Frankie Simek has returned to Arsenal but Serge Branco is in discussions regarding the extension of his short term contract.
